School certificates and school records
How to collect or request a copy of a year 10 school certificate, request a copy of year 12 results or access school records.
When your young person completes year 10 in an ACT public school, the school issues them with either a:
- Year 10 Certificate
- High School Record.
Both list the courses completed and the school grades achieved in years 9 and 10.
After completing year 12, the school issues a Year 12 Certificate.
Request an uncollected Year 10 certificate
To request an uncollected Year 10 certificate, email year10certificate@act.gov.au.
In your email include:
- your full name
- the school you attended in year 10
- your mobile number in case we need to contact you about your application.
We usually process requests within 2 weeks. We will email you when your certificate is ready to collect. We tell you where you can collect it from.
Bring a form of photo ID (for example, drivers licence or passport) to confirm your identity when you come to collect.
If you cannot collect the certificate yourself:
- write a note that gives someone else permission to collect it on your behalf
- make sure you sign the note
- the person collecting the certificate must show their own ID and your ID.
