If your driver licence is up for renewal this year, we have good news! You can now get a text message reminder sent directly to your mobile number.

The message will be sent two days before your licence is due to expire, so you don’t forget. Another message will be sent two days after the expiry date if your licence has not been renewed.

To protect your privacy, the message will not include a website link. Personal information will also not be sent to you.

For more information and to opt-in to receive reminders by confirming or updating your mobile number visit act.gov.au/updateyourrego.

Canberrans who are uncomfortable with receiving message reminders can opt-out from this service by removing their mobile phone details online.

Most Access Canberra services - like renewing your licence - can be completed online at a time that suits you, so you don’t have to visit one of our service centres.

Other services that can be completed online include vehicle registrations, working with vulnerable people updates and registrations.
