The community theatre at Tuggeranong Arts Centre will receive a $2 million upgrade.
For more than 25 years, the Tuggeranong Community Arts Association has delivered programs and events at the centre, supporting the arts and building a sense of pride within the local community.
Embracing Tuggeranong’s broad array of artistic interests, the Arts Centre presents a diverse program of activities – engaging with both professional and community artists.
Accessibility will be the major focus of the upgrades, ensuring the 110-seat theatre meets contemporary standards. The theatre’s sound and lighting systems and audio communications will also be updated, allowing it to host a broader range of arts and events.
The improvements at Tuggeranong Arts Centre will provide spaces for the community to experience art within facilities that are fit for purpose, safe and inclusive. The investment will enhance accessibility, safety, and energy efficiency.
The upgrades at the centre are expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
