The 2025 Royal Canberra Show offers fun for all ages.

The Royal Canberra Show is back for 2025.
The show is a fixture on every Canberra family’s calendar. This year’s event is packed with entertaining new additions and beloved favourites.
When is it?
The Royal Canberra Show will run from Friday 21 February to Sunday 23 February 2025.
How do I get there?
The best way to get to the show is by public transport. Not only will it save you the stress of navigating traffic and searching for a car park, but kids also travel free across the weekend.
And if you’re planning to visit on the Friday, remember public transport is free for everyone, thanks to Fare Free Fridays.
There is a drop-off zone and parking off Flemington Road for taxis and cars with disability parking permits.
How much are tickets?
- children under 6 are free
- adult tickets are $27
- children’s tickets (aged 6-16) are $13
- student and concession tickets are $16
- a family pass (2 adults and 2 children) is $67.
What food and drink will be available?
There will be plenty of food and drink options to suit different tastes and budgets.
The World Flavours Food Court will have food vans serving international cuisines such as:
- Turkish
- Asian
- Italian
- German
- and more.
Capital Hill Food & Drink is where you can head if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle. Sit on the hill and enjoy a Capital Brewing Co beverage and some barbecue food options.
Orana Bar & Picnic Area offers a shaded outdoor space. There will be food and drink options including gin from Canberra Distillery.
Sideshow Alley Eats & Treats features the classic Canberra Show foods you know and love. Head here to enjoy:
- dagwood dogs
- fairy floss
- snow cones
- waffle cones
- and more.

What’s new for 2025?
There are some fresh finds on offer at this year's Royal Canberra Show.
Showjumping will be returning to the main arena all weekend.
Some new highlights from the 2025 program include:
- show jumping all weekend at the main arena
- a Kids Giggles and Games Arena as part of the Kids Gaming Grounds, supported by the Dickson Tradies and the ACT Government
- the EQ Saddlery Hobby Horse Showjumping competition, a fun and free way for kids to experience showjumping
- the Art and Photography Competition
- a Pickleball Court where you can play pickleball for free
- a Chicken and Fox evening show that combines chases, stunts and comedy
- a Treasure Hunt Adventure complete with a treasure map where you can collect stamps throughout the showground.
What other entertainment options are there?
It wouldn’t be the Royal Canberra Show without rides. Head to Sideshow Alley and choose from hair-raising rides or gentle attractions like the sliding teacups.
Agriculture and animals are of course a strong focus, with performances and activities including:
- woodchop
- the Hot Saw Shootout featuring chainsaws
- the Farmyard Nursery
- horse competitions
- racing pigs featuring piglets in sequin vests
- milking demonstrations
- sheep shearing.
Over the course of the weekend, you can also enjoy:
- motorbike shows
- the Grand Parade
- fireworks
- a science extravaganza show
- craft and pottery displays and workshops.
Visit the Harvest Hall and the Crafts Expo to see the winning competition entries on display. Better yet, enter a competition yourself – bakers, gardeners, and crafters are all encouraged to enter.
What else do I need to know?
Bring a refillable drink bottle along to stay hydrated. There will be water stations available throughout the showground.
Some ACT Government agencies will also be at the show. Corrective services personnel will be on hand to answer your questions about their upcoming recruitment round so if you are interested, be sure to say hi.
